Rob: How's it going everybody Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the PTC Custom Engine Air Filter our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. Now, our filter is going to be a great replacement for your factory air filter. It's going to fit directly into the factory air box and not going to require any kind of modifications.Now, I know a lot of people remember to put fuel in their car and a lot of cars even have a reminder to tell you to change your oil, but an air filter is one of those things that's usually one of the last things that's on our mind. But if we don't check and change the air filter when it does get dirty, we're going to be robbing our engine of the fuel economy and performance that we need to get because our engine air filter is was going to filter all the air out before it gets into the engine so it can breathe properly.Now, once it starts to get dirty, there's not going to be enough air flow, and the engine is going to have to compensate for that and we're going to lose our gas mileage. And I know we've all been at the service station where we're getting an oil change and someone offers to check it and change it for us, and really it's not that big of a deal to change it yourself or even check it and you can actually save yourself a few dollars.So we have our hood open, so we can go over to the passenger side and we can check our air filter, and we have a new one if we need to get it replaced. more

And somebody says, "Oh hey, your filters dirty. Do you want us to put it in there for you" Well, a lot of us think about it and we're like, "Nah, I can do it. I'm not worried about it." Changing your filter and checking it is an extremely easy thing, but if we forget and we don't do it, we're robbing our engine of fuel economy and performance because all of that dirt is going to get clogged up in the filter and it's going to rob the engine of the air that it needs.We're going to go ahead and check our air filter is going to be on the passenger side of our Colorado, and if it's dirty we can go on and replace it with our new one. If we find the air box here, we're going to have several Phillips head screws are holding it in place, so we can either grab a Phillips bit or a screwdriver and we're going to loosen those up.Now I do want to mention when you're loosening these screws up, they'll loosen up, but they're not going to come all the way out. more

Today on our 2016 Ford F-150, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the PTC Custom Fit Engine Air Filter.The new engine air filter is going to not only increase fuel mileage in your car, it's going to help your engine run a lot better. So it's a good idea to replace this every six months to every year. At least look at it every six months and what we're looking for is, if you look down inside of these coils, we don't want to see a bunch of dirt and stuff built up there because that's reducing the amount of air flow going into our engine.When you reduce the amount of air flow going in, it makes your engine work harder and it doesn't allow any of that air flow to help cool down your engine. Your engine's going to run much more efficiently the cooler it is and the more air flow you get going in there. It's going to have a nice thick rubber ring right here running along this edge. This is going to help seal, when you put that top cap on, it's going to help seal this so no air can seep in through those edges.If you notice how it's kind of sealed up there in that corner edge there. more

Now it doesn't look that bad, but if we start looking in between the pleats, you can see that it's actually capturing quite big material, which if this did get into our engine could do a lot of damage. And although the filter doesn't look that bad, when they do get dirty, it gets clogged, and it's robbing our engine of the air it's trying to breathe. So we're losing fuel economy and acceleration.You can see compared to the new one that our filter is actually getting quite dirty. AIRAID Premium Direct-Fit Replacement Filter Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup 5.7 Liter, we'll be installing the Airaid Premium Direct Replacement Filter, part number AR850-447. We'll begin here by raising the hood of the vehicle and then undoing the four clips that hold the cover on the air box. With these four clips removed, we can go ahead and lift the air box cover up. We'll go ahead and remove the old filter and now we're ready to put the new Airaid filter in place. This new Airaid filter is washable as well as reusable. When the filter becomes dirty, simply blow it out with air or wash it out with a hose and let it air dry. more

Today on our 2009 Dodge Ram Pick-Up 1500 Series Quad Cab well be installing the Airaid Premium Direct Fit Replacement Filter part number AR851-447. To begin with well need to go ahead and raise the hood on the vehicle. On this particular vehicle the air box is located on the passengers side. There are four tabs that well need to open up in order to lift the cover off the air filter box. With these four tabs undone, we can go ahead and lift the air filter cover off. Youll just need to lift it up enough to pull the original filter out and slip our new Airaid filter in. more

AFE Air Filter Installation - 2008 Mercury Mariner- Video

Today on our 2008 Mercury Mariner we'll be installing the AFE Air Filter, part number AFE31-10065. After opening up the package and confirming everything is correct in there we're ready to go ahead and install it into our vehicle. After the hood is open on this Mariner we'll go ahead and undo the two clasps that hold the air filter lid in place. We can then simply peel it off and bring the air filter out the top. With the old air filter removed, we'll simply take the new AFE air filter and slide it back into position in the box and bring it back down into place. You'll notice that the AFE air filter does come with a "do not discard" sticker. more

AFE Air Filter Installation - 2007 Toyota 4Runner- Video

Today on our 2007 Toyota 4 Runner we will be installing the AFE Power air filter AFE31-10027.The AFE POWER air filter uses a new pro-dry S oil free dryer filter. It has a revolutionary 2 layers synthetic that requires no oil to filter out dirt. Now, this air filter is very simple to install. We'll simply undo the 4 tension clips; 2 on the front and 2 on the back. Then simply lift the top part of the box up and slide the filter out. Then take the new air filter while lifting the front top of the box up then slide the new filter in to place making sure that it is sided in the box then put the lid back on then restore the 4 tension clips. more
